About the Poem

I wrote this poem shortly after I had a fling with this older guy I had been crushing on. He has a girlfriend and we both just got caught up in the moment of being at his house alone. It seemed as if it was what we were both waiting for, but now things have changed. We were good friends, but that has changed. We still talk just not as often as we used to, it feels awkward now.. and there is so much I want to tell him but don't know how. So I wrote this poem to pretty much sum it all up.

It All Had To End

There is something deep inside us both
The day has come and gone when we both
Let it show
It was a day I had been waiting for,
Not knowing if you wanted it too
Everything felt so right, yet so wrong
I wanted things to keep going
But I knew you had someone else
Someone you loved, who loves you
So I knew things were going to stop
I don't know what to do
I can't control my mind
I look in my heart
But the answers I just can't find
You say you're sorry and
Let's be good friends
But now when I talk to you
It seems as if it all had to end.

Very well written, I'm going through the same thing right now and it hurts a lot because it all seems so right but in essance it's very wrong to be doing what we're doing.
