About the Poem

My poem is about the feelings that came and went toward someone I held dear to me. We broke the relationship up, but I still had all of the memories.

A Memory

The love we had -
Why did it have to end so sad?
Its all a memory now...
The times we shared
And I thought you cared
But its all a memory now...
We were always together
But now we'll stay a memory, forever

Why did we end?
Couldn't we just let our hearts mend?
Our love will stay a memory...
It's over, we both know,
And we have to let it go...
A memory will last forever,
But we could never stay together.
It will stay a memory for now...
Good-bye, remember the memories.

this touched me because i recently lost my first love and i does hurt to think about the memories we shared. we dated for 3 1/2 months and he finall decided that i was getting in the way of him and his friend. but i was the one who broke it off after he ignored me for 1 week. i tried to talk to him but he would not talk about it. but to this day i will admit that i still love him. so wherever you are michael,i love you still.

Hey i can really relate to the words you put into this poem. I'm currently infatuated with this guy named DAVID and all he knows is that i love i "like" him, but actually i "LOVE" him. When i found out he had "A FRIEND" i was so crushed. Your poem totally describes the way i feel. Thank you.
