In this journey we call life, there are times when we are isolated because of circumstance. Be it self-imposed or otherwise. This poem describes enjoying the beauty around us but not being able to feel it within us.
I see the stars sparkling so bright,
Within the moon kissed sky.
I hear the lark so sweetly sing,
Amidst the morning dawn.
I smell the flower full in bloom,
And see their royal pomp.
And yet some place so deep within,
I'm shrouded and I'm closed.
The brilliance there I can't see,
In mists of misery.
Enshrined inside, unable thus,
To touch the warmth without.

I truelly like this poem. it is deep and full of sorrow. Everybody has there own perspective of the meaning of this poem including me. I feel that the author is tryng to say that her life might seem wonderful on the outside and everything is full of life but it always isnt how it seems. Inside she feels destroyed and powerless. she feels dead and emotionless. This poem is very meaningful. I'm only 13 years old and really am touched. It has inspired me to write my own poem called "Within Fear"

I liked this poem very much there is beauty to the world but that beauty is just not enough what we want is our lives to be beautiful but to get their you got to keep your head up and work for it but it hard when your ready to give up and all the people around you just seem crul
