About the Poem

I had written this poem for a friend of mine who has always been afraid of one certain man throughout her whole life. It made me sad to think of the pain she was going through. I decided one day that I was just going to write a poem dedicated to her, writing it as if she were saying it herself.

I had once been scared of a particular person, which is why I sort of understood where she was coming from. I hope you enjoy my poem as much as she did. Please, if anyone has been scared of someone else for any reason, do something about it before it's too late. Don't be afraid to tell somebody. It's OK. The pain will never go away if you're scared to face it.

Complete Emptiness

I had once thought
that maybe this was life.
No love, no hate, no feelings.
My deepest feelings would never be shared.
I was so frightened,
I didn't know what to do.
Scared of this one man all my life.
Face my fear, I told myself!
But it's so hard, so confusing.
Do you know what it's like
to wonder in darkness?
It never stops, never ends.
It goes on like a story with no ending.
Do you know how it feels
to be afraid of something
that you can't do anything about?
That you didn't ask for or even think about?
Do you know what it's like? Do you know how it feels?
It's complete and pure emptiness.

this was nice. really nice. i know exactly where your friend is coming from. i'm very scared of a certain man right now. even though he's really really far away from me. i'm still scared. but the poem was wonderful. i loved it.

i love this poem i write lots too all about depression and suicded but i espcially loved this one cause well i am afraid of all boyz expet my brother cause he protects me im afraid of boyz cause i recently lost mine and i ahve been with him for 4 or 2 years and we were so in love that i was afraid of losing him and evrynit i dream about him like lastnite so i misesed him and i just cant get involved with another guy cause im afraid i would get my heart broke again

I really like this pome becaus one of my family member had to go thought abuse releship and her chidern to. still to this day she still has dreams about what happend and it is screcer for someone to go though this
