About the Poem
The reason that I wrote this poem is that I had a lot of feelings and thoughts inside that I needed to let out. I have had a lot of GUY friends, but with one in particular I crossed the line. Our friendship has never been the same. Yes, we are still friends; but I find myself wondering what our friendship would be like if we had not crossed that line and gone too far. It might have been better - or would it be worse? I will never know.

Why did we cross the line? Everything would be fine - One moment of pleasure For all this pain; Can you tell me now what did we gain? Everything would be OK - Normal as it was, But no - we had to go to far - We had to cross that line I would never turn back time, For every moment I learn. It's just things are so different now - Things between you and me. Why didn't I open my eyes? Why didn't I only see That what we were accomplishing Would be the end to you and me? |

The poem touched me because i did just that with myfriend we crossed the line and now i feel as if i am getting feelings for him but that cannot happend so i used this poem to explain a liitle hoe i felt and that it was time to let go. The poem is very brilliant i enjoted it

this poem i slike what i went thru! my best friend "R" came over when he came back from florida! we havent seen each other for a year we still talked on the phone and wrote emails back and forth but when he came back it was like 1/2 of me came back then that night we crossed the line between friends and lovers! and where did it get me no where but a broken heart i mean were still friends but it different its not like it was before nothing at all! and i reall miss him! in 1 night i lost 1/2 of me again!

I vote this because I am putting myself in this situation. Crossing that line from friends to intimate friends isn't healthy. Different feelings evolve and I'm sure you look at the other person differently. So thank you for writing this because it helped me not to go down that path because the friendship means the world to me and I don't want to lose it.

I relate to this poem like hands down!I went to far with a friend and i wish i could take i back SO BAD and have things go back to the way they were. But what happens, happens and you need to learn for your mistakes and just go on with life and not live in the past.

In the end, love is a higher form of friendship. The most important piece in love's puzzle IS friendship. I'm a guy, and I recently lost my best friend/would be lover by wanting too much. God, it hurts. But I would do it again.

I really like this poem I had a friend for 4 years, all through high school always had a crush on him but didn't know how he felt. After graduation we got together went WAY too far and now we are no longer friends and never will be. If anyone ever asks me if they should date one of their close friends I would say no I would much rather have a friendship than nothing!

this poem is so true! i went trough this with a special friend of mine. we passed the line. look at us now were still friends but not like we use to when we desided to take out realtionship farther away. you see now my dear friend went away we dont talk like we use to. and we dont have eachothers trust. i wish one day i can gain his trust.
