About the Poem

This Poem is about a guy friend of mine by the name of Brian. We have been friends for a while, but there were some things that had gotten into the way of our friendship and I wrote this poem after we were not friends anymore.

I know now that the reason why I have missed him so much is the fact that I love him and I have feelings for him. So this is just my way of telling him that I love him more then life.

Can I Love You?

I gave my heart to you
I set my standards high
I laid my eyes on you,
I laughed and cried with you,
I told you my hopes and dreams,
My Love and Fears.

My tears I shed all over your shoulder.
In the end,
I came to see that you were
the only guy I could ever trust.
When I see you,
my face lights up with aspiration, and happiness.
When we talk, I can feel the load unload
with soothing words from you.

I have the feeling of love in my heart.
In my mind, I say "You don't mean a thing. "
In my words, I say "You are just a friend. "
But in the deep end of my heart,
I think of only you

When I tell you my expectations of a guy,
You tell me never to fall short of what I want.
But only one thing stands in the way -
You are a friend.

Can I still love you the way that I do?

this poem expresses the way i feel about my so called"best friend" he's so wonderful, and everything i want, but he wants another girl. HE is too blind to see the way i feel about him bc we are just, "best friends" in his eyes

Wow this poem its just fantastic i was looking and looking for a poem that would help me tell a friend how i felt about our relationship and here it is the perfect poem, hopefully it would let my friend know what i really feel for it.

This is very good. Its like me and a girl i like more than a frined. She is my best frined and I look in her eyes and can tell that i need to spend my life with her. We can tell each other any thing. But she says she does not want to lose her best frined if we broke up. I told her you can never lose your best frined if you love each other. I pry every day to my dream comes true. And i can spend my life with her. We had are bad times together are ready. Are good frined died and we were there together. And than she had a baby over year go and i was with her too she had the baby. I drove to see her every week becouse i work 81 miles away and lived there oo. And im still there. And look at a photo every night to fall a sleep too. Now every moring she wakes me up with a niice phone call to start my day off. If she does not call i have a very bad day. i love this girl and will die if any thing happens too her.
