About the Poem

This is a poem I wrote to my husband the day after we had an amazing and emotional evening. Nothing was particularly different about what we did that night; it was a work night and we were just doing our usual routine. But something clicked inside me that night. We've now been married for 8 months and at the time I wrote the poem we'd been married for 7. We had been having the typical first year marriage troubles all the way up until the 6 month mark, and then everything just started to smooth out. We'd had some communication problems, not to mention being dry in the sex department. But as I said, things had just started working themselves out and I felt myself falling in love with him like it was the first time all over again. Anyway, the day after we had a wonderful night of love making I wanted him to know how much it meant to me and I definitely didn't want to pull the old, "You were wonderful last night," crap. So this is for him and all his manly wonderful ways.

will i can understand this poem and the person; because i have a husband that i love very much and at one time i was thinking of living him but God made me see that he needed a woman in hes life and i needed him in my life but without God's love there can't be no ture love in a man and woman.

This poem i sone of the purest I have ever read. I got to the end and wanted to cry because it reminded me of the first time i felt comfortable that way with my husband. Excellent!

I love the fact that it was about your husband and not just a boyfriend because I'm a big believer that sex is meant for marriage. Good luck with your husband in the future.

You

Last night was the first night
Last night was the first time
You were the first and the only one

At first I was withdrawn and unsure
Wanting, yet wondering

Your gentle embrace released the
Constriction and I
Was you and
You were me

Everything was right, genuine, and pure
Moments were hours
Sensations were spiritual

Last night I loved my husband

This poem speaks volumes. It is exactly how I felt about my new husband last night. For the first time.

YOU'RE POEM I REALLY LIKED! AFTER I READ YOUR STORY, I KIND-OF FELT BAD FOR YOU BUT AFTER I READ YOUR POEM I JUST WANTED TO CRY. ALL THESE OTHER POEMS I THINK ARE JUST POEMS THAT YOU CAN REALATE TO SOMEHOW, BUT YOUR POEM HAD MEANING AND EVERYTHING. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I REALLY INJOYED YOUR POEM AND YOU HAVE A LOT OF TALENT TO WRITE SUCH A BEATIFUL POEM!
