I wrote this poem for my boyfriend a few months after I found out we were going to have a baby. We've been together for many years and some of the things that we used to do together I couldn't do anymore. I love him dearly but at that time I felt like I was losing my best friend and my only love.
Let's just say this poem may have brought us back together.
hateful words that seep under my skin
sorrow that fills my heart deep within
how I wish it could all go away
how I wish you would just stay
deep within me, inside my soul
these fights have truly taken their toll
the unborn feels the pain too
I wish I didn't have to always feel blue
please, my love, try to understand
I only ask for a helping hand
I don't mean to hurt you or put you down
all I want to do is take away your frown
I will always be there for you through thick and thin
I will always be there cheering for our win
I know the path you are on will soon come to an end
I know the path well for I followed for many bends
Now you follow it all alone
I know that one day you will come back home
and when the time has come for you to grow
count on me, for the new roots I will sow
I want to make you happy, I want to be happy too
even through these times I know we can make it through
And no matter what, "I love you. "

this was a very good poem I like they way it talk about the pain and the love to each other.
