About the Poem

Everybody fears something. You might fear something as simple as a bee sting or something as complicated as a car crash. I have one fear that I truly, truly dread. One fear that will simply tear me apart, and that is losing the ones that I love, especially that one person who makes your life complete.

Fear

I am not afraid of death,
I am not afraid of dying.

I am not afraid of heartbreaks,
I am not afraid of crying.

I am not afraid of the future,
I am not afraid of tomorrow.

I am not afraid of sadness,
I am not afraid of sorrow.

The only thing I fear ever coming true,
Is living this fearless life, without you.

I think it was very well written. I love how it describes what you do not fear, because in life those are some of things that really hurt us. Sorrow, and death are all very strong things. I'm only 13 so I don't really have much experiance to go on other then I am also a writer. The poem is wonderful and I love the rhyming. Over all the emotions it conveys are beautiful and pure. You get a very strong message across and it can be very significant when it is thought over carfully. I would love to see more poetry like this, it isn't to long and drawn out but the emotion is clearly represnted and you can feel it. I really like this poem, it may not be the best poem ever but I think it's right up there with emotional poetry. The emotions make you feel them but not so strongly as to sway your own emotion. This is a beautifully written poem, I like it very much.

I really like this poem because this is how i feel. i end up reading half a poem and it sounds just like what i feel but then it talks about holding hands and kissing. and thats something i never done with this guy i love. he doesn't love me. he doesn't know i love him. but i still go on because life and love will take its course.
