Loving, Still |
| by Sheila Blair |
I'm living this love affair in my mind,
It's furthered every day,
Written on my heart,
Pages turning with every beat.
Has it been a year since I held you?
Or just a day, an hour, a minute?
It was yesterday I felt your gentle touch,
Today I saw your sweet brown eyes as I slipped from a dream.
You are there in every breath,
On every sun ray,
you're wound into every thread
of my life's tapestry.
And every step I take is to you.
To feel you, love you, breathe you,
More even than the one I gazed upon this morning,
Enough to quench my soul, at last full.
Loving. If only with my thoughts.
