I wrote this poem when I was overwhelmed with confusion about love. I've never been one with words but I listened to my heart and I came up with this. It all became very clear after I wrote this...
I can't help but love you -
Love your lips against mine,
Soul to soul,
Heart to heart.
I can't help but want you,
Wanting you next to me,
Loving me,
Holding me.
My life it feels so empty,
Then there you are when I am down,
Making my frowns into giggles,
And giggles into I Love You's.
My heart it beats for you,
Beating your name while I sleep.
My thoughts of you are all pure of heart,
From my soul.
I often think of you,
Then a feeling rushes through my body,
And I know you are thinking of me.
I can't help but love you,
Love the way you love me,
And love the feelings we have.
I can't help but love you,
Love you when you are mad at me,
Love you when you love me,
Love you when it seems like no one else cares.
There we are,
Heart to heart,
Soul to soul.
Tear stains on my pillows remind me of you.
I lie awake at night,
Thinking of you and me,
And me and you.
Wondering,
Thinking,
Crying,
Loving you from afar.
The pain consumes me and I cry myself to sleep.
I created my own pain,
And from this I will create my own hope again.
No I can't help but love you,
Rather, I choose to love you.
