About the Poem

I wrote this poem based on my feelings when my boyfriend sent me flowers in school one day. It's not technically true, but the feeling is there. It's about flowers winning a girl over.

I Melt For Flowers

Hardened iceberg, unloving heart,
My creed, my song, until you.
You saw that I wasn't all I could be.
You wanted me to be so much more then I was.
When you showed up with that single rose,
I have to say I melted.
My heart is no longer cold.
