About the Poem

Sometimes every day things can trigger a memory in us that time has not erased. Close your eyes today and let the warmth of a beautiful memory encase you.

Memory In Your Mind

As the sun shines warm upon you
may it remind you of me
For the thought of you burns deep within like
a slow warm fire burning free.

As the rain falls softly
may each drop whisper my name
For since I have told you of my love
things haven't been the same.

As the wind blows softly through your hair
and gently caresses your face
May instead of the wind, you find my fingers there
as my memory you embrace.

As the moonlight dances on the water
slowly playing with your mind
May you close your eyes and find me there
like our brief moments in time.

If you look for me in every day things
I am sure that you will find
I am not really far away
I am as close as the memory in your mind.
