About the Poem

This is my latest work. I think of my poetry as my emotions on paper. The story behind this is longer than I could take. It may seem to be almost obsessive...but it's not. It's about someone who has totally given themselves to someone, who pulls them literally like a puppet.

Your Puppet

A puppet on the string
I move at your touch
I respond to every word
Without you saying much

I'm your puppet
My life is in your hand
Everything I say and do
Is at your command

You tell me to jump
I ask how high
You tell me to turn
I don't ask why

I'm your puppet, my
sweet little boy
Yours to love and hold
not just another toy.
