This poem was written for my good friend T.L.. Like a lot of people after having your heart broken too many times you tend to make it off limits to anyone. For a long time before I met him I distanced myself from men, running at the first signs of commitment. When T.L and I met we never really talked about relationships or love or anything of that nature. In time, my feelings grew from friendship to love, but I know in my heart that whatever the outcome, T.L. and I will always be close.
You are like no other,
And this I know its true,
For my heart finds something special,
and it has chosen you.
My heart has chosen to open up
and let you deep inside,
piercing through my wall,
putting all its fears aside.
My heart is actually beating now
and it's because of you.
For everything you say
and everything you do.
This poem is to tell you
that you mean a lot to me,
and you are in my heart
for all eternity.
