About the Poem

A bit like my poem, "Seasons," I'd say this was a better version. But it didn't start off like that. This is more about the fears of jumping from one relationship to the other.

Missing Sunshine

One day,
I'll see sunshine,
Once again,
Instead of the rain,
Which thunders down,
Instead of snow,
Playful but cold,

Instead I'll see the,
Warmth again,
I'll see the blue skies,
And fluffy white clouds,
I'll see the rainbow,
That will begin it all,

I don't want to leave
the winter,
Not while I'm so used to it,
Not while I've learned,
To live with the cold,
I Don't want to do it again,

I want summer forever,
The Flowers to bloom,
And never wither,
The cold to take away,
The warmth within,
And Steal away sunshine,

For I fear of not seeing,
The reds of summer evenings,
Slowly taking warmth,
Replacing with cool,
And seeing again,
Next day,

But for now,
Winter holds the key,
Which I can now bare,
And summer fields,
Will see me,
When winter melts to spring,
But for now I miss the sunshine.
