About the Poem

I wrote this on Mother's Day 5/9/99. In honor of a friend who wants so badly to stay in this lifetime but doesn't know who she is.

Love Is

Love is:

Knowing your "self" to love the person inside
To see the beauty within
To breathe the breath of life
To feel the emotions surrounding your inner "self"
To water your garden of life
To stand with the universe
above, below and within
To meet the four corners of the universe
North, South, East and West
To respect who you are
To gather information to help you survive
To know your inner "self" enough to live for you.
