The Eyes of Children

The eyes of children look up to man;
to teach them; to guide them;
to make them understand.
The eyes of children; beautiful and untouched;
remind us of our innocence.
So, be kind to the eyes of children;
as they do not judge;
their eyes hold only the things that they love.

i loved this poem, it touched me greatly, i too now have learned not to take kids granted and now this caused me to change

I am a social worker with our county Children's Protective Services. I see so much abuse of children, sometimes deliberate, sometimes unconscious, but it's there. We do our part to try to correct it. That's why your poem touched me. Thank youso ver much.

I lost my baby nephew in a car accident this year, and it has opened my eyes to how much I take my children for granted. This poem was very touching and reminded me once again what a gift my children are.
