About the Poem

What happens if you catch a butterfly in your hands?

Death Of A Dream

I went out walking in the rain,
The ditch ran deep
An ocean full;

I spun a song through loops of air,
It alighted on
My window sill.

I caught a dream on gilded wings,
It beat once
Twice,
And then was still.
