This peom touched my heart as my child is named Sophia also. Thank you for such a meaningful poem.

Sophia

Beautiful, perfect baby.
I canít believe you're mine.
Itís as if Iím living in a dream.
With reality sublime.

I pinch my arm, I am awake.
You look at me with peace.
I hope how much I love you,
Is written across my face.

I couldnít ask for better.
With perfection sitting near.
I look at you and wonder.
Whatís in store the next year.

I hope to bring you happiness.
To take away your fears.
I want to be your mommy.
To wipe away your tears.

I promise I will try
To do the best for you.
To make the right decisions
And always help you through.

But please do understand
My wisdom is but small.
Iíll take the role of mommy
And always stand up tall.
