About the Poem

This poem may seem abstract, but it's actually about feeling strange compared to everyone else. It's also about feeling inadequate and thinking about how confusing and unfair the world can be.

this was a great poem it really touched me
wow the only word that can describe such pain im with you skittles
appreciate this one cuz i,ve been in this dark world for so long, and recently for the past 4 years been finding methods of healing and positive inspiration and strife to move forward towards the light. i hope by these words of expression you too have found and recognized the healing power behind this method, writing down your feelings and these abstract places you have been in your life is really a big step towards the light, keep it up because i and so many others like us really look for this kind of support, knowing that we are not alone really builds positive globalization bringing us together as one. exposing us like the plague, another disease that really needs the attention for finding a cure!
I like this poem a lot. Some times i feel like that but when i do i know there is a GOD who is looking out for me. Even if i blamed him for my troubles. I am still breathing. I know someone is thinking about me and love me even if i dont. xox me Keep ur head I CAre

Warped & Twisted

Harsh words & violent blows
Hidden secrets nobody knows
Eyes are open, hands are fisted
Deep inside I'm warped & twisted
So many tricks & so many lies
Too many whens & too many whys
Nobody's special, nobody's gifted
I'm just me, warped & twisted
Sleeping awake & choking on a dream
Listening loudly to a silent scream
Call my mind, the number's unlisted
Lost in someone so warped & twisted
On my knees, alive but dead
Look at the invisible blood I've bled
I'm not gone, my mind has drifted
Don't expect much, I'm warped & twisted
Burnt out, wasted, empty, & hollow
Today's just yesterday's tomorrow
The sun died out, the ashes sifted
I'm still here, warped & twisted

This is the #1 poem I have read on the net yet and I read a lot of poems. You put the words in this just right to me,its down to the point and not just some poem that goes on and on without finding the meaning until the end of the it. You are so tallented with what you do. And I am sorry about your mom, I've lost my mom too. But I think with your writing you will go far in life keep up the good work. You will always have my vote! Sincerely, Ashley Nichole

It is sad and has heartless emotions to it. It was really well writen.

I love ur poem, it is the same for me. It's like, no matter what anybody tells you, you kno the truth. It sucks, but it's reality. I just tend to draw away from people, because i've hurt so many in the past, i can't bare to do it anymore. It's like you fell the'd be much better off w/out you.
omg i love this poem. i love the way the words are and the pain. i helps me. thank you.
That is an amazing poem. i give it 100 out of 10. i love the way it flows, and how everything in it is so true about how we feel about ourselves.
the first time i read it i felt it was aimed at me. yes,in real life we hide so many secrets even from those we have shared our entire life with. we face so much pain, sadness and melancholy that remains pungent in our memories. this poem may comfort them a bit.

This is a real poem. I's go as far, even, as to say touching. Of course, this is only coming from a thriteen year old, but it's the best thing I've read all day (and by now, I've probably read a thousand stupid love poems, thanks!)

I work with many youths who are depressed and face many addictions. it is a poem that i will post in my office,, so they will know i understand Thank you for the words of wisdom
Your poem has touched me. It summed my feeling's up in that little poem.
Thank you Your poem reached inside and pulled out my meanings
I thought it was a very good poem. A lot of people don't know me. They just see how i act at school but they don't know how i feel when i'm at home and my feelings are overwhelming. Thanks for the poem. P. S. I'm using this poem for a speech in my communication class in college. I promise i'm not taking credit for your work and i am giving full credit to you on this. Thank you again.

Skittles you have a talent of being able to take your thoughts and write them down in such a way that ppl understand and relate to them. You are truely talented. A little while ago I felt how your poem describes, in the exact same way but my mood is lifted at the moment, this poem brought a tear to my eye, I'm not sure what i was crying for me, or the feelings that are described in this poem, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
This is a fantastic poem. Just the perfect amount of depression mixed into the effective lines.
