This poem was written through the tears and suffering brought upon me by the death of my best friend, my grandmother. It describes what I pretend it was like when she passed on, and the feelings I would have felt had I been there.

That touched me very much. My grandmother is dying, and I am looking for a poem to read for her when her time comes so that I can prepare myself.

It has been almost a year since my grandmother died. I still feel a lot of pain. Your poem explains alot to me although I was not there when she passed. I wish so many times over and over that I had been there. This week marks 1yr since I last spoke to her. Good job

Katie, I just wanted to say how beautiful this poem is. I am looking for a fitting reading to make at my nan's funeral on friday, and the words in this poem are perfect. I watched my nan die after suffering with leukaemia, and couldnt think of the words to say at the funeral, thanks for doing that for me. x

thanks for the beautiful poem. it makes me think of my dear grandmother whom i lost several painful years ago .. she raised me and was more to me like the mother i never had , than the grandmother she was.. not a day goes by i dont think of something id like to say to her.. to call her up with some news . and then realize.. she's gone. thanks for sharing that poem . it touches my pain more. but id rather feel the pain than to not feel at all . i miss her so much .

I loved your poem because I saw my grandmother dying of breast cancer with my own eyes.. I've never been so scared in my entire life..
