He was always a quiet man. He never said much to any of us grandchildren but we knew what he had to do.
But for anyone that reads this... please remember to let your loved ones know that you love them no matter how difficult it maybe to tell them cause if you don't it could be to late.
You were always into your work, two jobs were a lot.
You had you just retired a year before you found out,
If you had only known what you were to fine out.
You seemed so strong, as if nothing could bring you down,
You never said too much, but somehow I knew you loved me.
If only I had known, maybe I would have said more to you.
It was the first time that I had heard you laugh,
If I had only known that it would be the last.
For the next day you found out that you had cancer,
Never again did I see that smile that I had seen that day.
If I had only known maybe I would have taken more time.
I loved you so much...
And If I only knew then what I know now,
Maybe I could have made sure you knew too.
