Wings Of The Angels

A gentle wind blew cross the land
Reaching out to take a hand
For on the winds the angels came
Calling out a mother's name.

Left behind, the children's tears
Loving memories of the years
Of joy and love, a life well spent
And now to God a mother's sent.

On angel's wings, a heavenly flight
The journey home, towards the light
To those who weep, a life is gone
But in God's love, 'tis but the dawn.

My mom is in the midst of cancer now. she will not be with us much longer. she is a beautiful woman and a fabulous mother. it can never be the same here once she is gone. i am spending every minute i can with her. i love her so deeply. i know that she will be in a better place, but i wish she could be well and stay here with us. she has 3 children and 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson on the way any time. if you are a praying person reading this, pray for our mom that she may be in peace.

This poem is amazing and I'm sure that the friend you gave it to was deeply comforted by your kind words. I'm writing a poem about my Grandad for school and I'm finding it really hard, but if my poem ends up half as good as this one I'll be very pleased. A trully wonderfully and touching poem!
