About the Poem

Thank you for this site. It was the place that inspired my boyfriend to declare his love in a very special way. We met through ICQ and today, some days after I wrote this, he has officially asked me to marry him.

It is to God that I wish to thank for the happiness I am feeling, because I never thought that I would ever get this beautiful gift of being loved and of being in love again. I had a sad experience previously, but the best was to still come. God truly wants the best for his daughters and sons. Thank you my Lord. I hope that my praise to you will help others to also thank you for all the blessings we receive each day.

God's Blessing

How can I thank you, my Lord,
for all the happiness
that you are giving me?
Yes, . . . through Riki it is.

Almost a month ago
he contacted me,
yet I never knew our relation
would grow up like this.

Time seems eternal
until we meet each day,
but at the same time
it seems we never separate.

Love is stronger each second
when based in true friendship.
We care, listen, respect
and help each other be.

No secrets do we have,
transparency is our law,
because we want our love
to be that . . . true love.

Give me, my Lord,
the strength and the hope I need
because sometimes I feel weak
and think it's only a dream.

Help me live each day
as the first and the last,
to give the best of me
to You and to my loved one.

Yes, someday it will be
that we will be one for eternity.
Your special blessing we'll receive
and our lives will glorify Thee.

Such a beautiful poem. Truly one of the best on here. I love the way the writer incorporates both Christ and the lovers into the situation. That is the situation was meant to be - a triangle. With love that way it is alot deeper. :)
