About the Poem

This is a poem I wrote for a friend who does not have self-confidence. Yet, I don't have the right to tell this person what to do, for I don't have confidence either.

Don't Listen To Me

Don't try to break the chain
Don't even try to fly
So hide your wings
Be one who sings
Don't let yourself deny

Don't let yourself deny
Don't fall into that trap
Look at the moon
Be bright as June
Don't draw yourself a map

Don't draw yourself a map
Don't tango to the beat
So burn your shoes
Be glad to lose
Don't melt under the heat
