About the Poem

In an age of blockbuster disaster movies, sometimes real tragedy seems unreal.

Watching the terrorist acts against our country, I flipped from channel to channel on my TV. This was our way of getting information. The more I saw, the more I wanted to deny that this could happen... that this was happening. This poem was written in an attempt to show that sometimes, we just can't comprehend the evil that men do. 		Love Poems

Nothing To Fear

you with your fancy words
and prima donna hair
speaking for me you say?
pretending that you care

you think the air time you get
will give you an anchor seat
that all the ratings will go your way
your competitors will be beat

I'm turning you off right now
every Peter and Tom and Dan
I'll not listen to another word
try to make me if you can

I can't cope with all the words
that seem to pour out of you
leave me alone, go away
there is nothing you can do

I know these pictures are lies
this couldn't happen here
so take away the instant replay
there is nothing to fear
