About the Poem
This poem describes how I feel when I am with my significant other, how I feel rushed and how I can never say or do enough to explain to her how I truly feel.
|by Kenneth Carmichael|
|I can not proclaim my love for thee in a thousand speeches
I can not show you... no matter how wide mine arm reaches
I can not kiss you enough times or write enough rhyming lines
To ever prove to you how deep and sincere I really am
Someday I hope that you will at least try to understand
That I can't love you enough...each day I try to out-do the other
It's like all the moments I spend with you are competing with one another
I feel as though I am rushing to love you, and I'm over-anxious
I find myself racing a mile a minute with my feet staying still
I can truly say that mine heart hath no more spaces to be filled
It is consumed of you and only you from wall to wall
And only in my wildest dreams could I ever deserve it all
