This poem means so much to me My best friend of many years who was closer than anything to me She left and I never heard from her again I knew she had to go but I thought that we'd never be separated Maybe I thought wrong or maybe someday well meet again

There are so many stories I still want to tell There are so many I love you's left unsaid There are many tears left uncried There are many dreams left to fall apart I miss our long talks I miss the nights when all was alright I love you like a sister, you were my angel, Yet I wonder why you left me here to die We were forever best friends- When one fell to the ground The other one was there to help her back up. We healed our broken hearts With a hug and a gentle smile. We stayed up every night looking at the stars, Giggling like little girls and having midnight talks. You said you had to go- I wished it wasn't so. You said we'd always write. You said it would be like old times. I looked in your eyes as you looked into mine, With smiles like everything was fine. Yet we both knew well that this was our last good-bye. We knew that we would never again Have those long talks and play like little girls again. We knew all the pain we'd cause ourselves. I also knew that my angel was being taken away, Yet we promised no matter what we'd remain forever best friends |

I lost a male best-friend, but everything mentioned in the poem pertaining to two females had me visualizing my best-friend and I doing the same thing. This poem really touched me because today is my best-friend's birthday (12/30/06). He passed in on May 19, 2000. Yes, its been 6 years and I have a child by him, so I continue to see him daily!

Wow first i would like to say this poem touched me in lots of ways. I lost my best friend like this she hade to move L. A. Because of family problems. I really mis her we were like sisters. But now we have gone our sperate ways. I REALLY MISS MY BEST,BEST,BEST FRIEND. There will never be another best friend like her.

This poem was a really touching poem i have just lost my best mate to a very long hard fight to cancer and was looking for a poem i could use to put on her grave on friday when we bury her i wanted something i could use that would remind us of the good days and when we were younger and this poem did just that it was such and insperation to me i only wished i had such a wonderfull tallent to write like this poet can. Thank you i have found something i can use to look back and remind us of the good times we had.

OMG,When I read this poem I was so touched bcuz I knew the same thing happened to me. I had lost ma best frenz bcuz at some point or another in my life they had left me. I think about them everyday and pray that they'll finally see how much I miss them,how much their friendship meant to me and how much I want it all back.

I really, really loved this poem. It made me tear up. I once had a friend who was my best, and she moved away because she had to. It took almost 6 months to hear from her again, but still, it's not the same. I hope one day that I will once again meet up with her.
