About the Poem
This poem is about my 21 year old brother who died 2 months ago in a car accident. I love him so much and even though he's not physically here, he's with me in my heart and my mind.

this poem touches me because Thursday August 2, 2007my uncle died in iraq by what the military is calling an "unidentified explosive devise" in Baghdad. so this is why this truly touches me!1

My husband found this poem online and shared it with me. It really touched me. I have not been able to get these words out of my head. When I heard this poem it was 2 days after my older brother, 23, was killed in a car accident. I saw that the author of the poem shared a similar tragedy that inspired this poem, and all I really want to say is thank you! You said what I could not put into words.

Somewhere in my dreams tonight I'll see you standing there You look at me with a smile "Life isn't always fair" You say you were chosen for his garden His preciously hand picked bouquet "God really needed me, That's why I couldn't stay" It's said to be that angels Are sent from above I've always had my angel My brother - whose heart was filled with love Wherever the ocean meets the sky There will be memories of you and I When I look up at that sky so blue All I see are visions of you "While there's a heart in me, you'll be a part of me." |

wow i can relate to the feelings ur going threw i lost my cousion oct15th 2006 he was my best friend when i read ur poem it touched me so much lol i still have tears running down my face i miss my cousion alot but all i call say is hang in there this life is hard but when its time for us to go home we will see out loved ones again so stay strong it seems like forever but really its not that long till we see the ones we love again

I can relate to this poem, I lost my brother last year. he was only 32 yrs old. He had so much energy and dreams. Just got married,daugher was only 6 weeks old. He was about to finish his house and thesis for His Master's degree. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him. Thanks for the poem. May God continue to bless you so you can write more poems, your words can be a comfort to others.

i have to just let u kno ur poem really touched me. i read it all the time. its kinda akward cuz the first time i read ur poem was in november and my brother passed in september. he also died in a car accident and he was about turn 21. sorry to bring it up in that sense but i just found that to be very coincidental.

I loved it, its simplicity, not simple, but absence of pretense. Still with deep meaning. It meant a lot to me, I have lost a lot of very good friends in very short time so I can identify some. But nothing like a brother, It would be unbearable for me to loose my only sister. That realationship if it is good , is like no other. Thank you
