About the Poem

The songs of nature have often held us intrigued. In this poem, a glimpse into the power and beauty of the sea's swirling depths is offered. Listening to the gentle pulsing of the waves can often bring about sweet remembrance or even connect us with the mysteries of nature that have long been lost.

I have been looking for several days now, on a single poem that I can put with pictures of the Atlantic from different locations in my scrapbook as journaling. This is perfect for any location, simple and beautiful.

To me, this opoem said that everything beautiful in the world needs to be kept alive as long as possible. THis is the best poem I've ever read
misty
absolutly beautful in your poem you expressed the love of the sea as a captain would,or anyone who has seen the sea.

Symphony Of The Sea

The smoky breath of Poseidon,
Billowing over wintered wings.
Gracefully touched by ice maidens,
Silent thoughts magically sing.

The mother's crystalline wine,
Flows over verdant isles.
Glimmering like an ancient shrine,
A mirror expanding endless miles.

A melody floats upon the tides,
Lingering within cool sprays.
Upon creamy foam the tune rides,
And silver notes gently raise.

Sweetened with an aqua hue,
The mermaid song plays on.
Secrets of the depths are viewed,
Unlocked by the coming dawn.

A symphony soars within the light,
Sea nymph voices floating high.
Within the sound I hear her might,
Echoing where ocean meets sky.

The crystal opera begins to fade,
Becoming now a hymn of the sea.
Memories fall in a final cascade,
Reminding that the song shall always be.
