About the Poem

We've waited so long to be happy. No matter what happens to us, we'll always have each other. Even the great God above, can see what we mean to each other. Never give up!

Treasured Innocence

The treasured gift of refined love
I've found in you it seems
Which steals my breath, weakens my heart
And rivals maudlin dreams

With insight captured in my heart
Where fantasies are stored
I see that you and I both have
The blessing of the lord

Who knows that Romeo so loves
His dearest Juliet
Both fated with a sacred love
That neither will forget

We're scripted in each others lives
Where love has been unfurled
And so its innocence remains
The envy of the world
