About the Poem

Deep feelings that I feel for someone I have never met - and might never meet.

How Distant Mariel

Life feels so long but yet so short.
Everyone looking for that true love which
They never find and mine might be this Mariel
Which I write through the Internet.
Two separate lives, living in separate worlds.
So far apart but yet so near at heart.
Her voice I hear for the very first time -
My heart stands still
While this world seems to fall apart.
Could this be the love of mine,
Which I would love for eternal life?
Well, the choice is mine
And I will fight for Mariel,
Because I know that she is mine.
