About the Poem

Lots of people have found love. But I haven't found mine yet. Although only 14, I am constantly jealous of the happy couples I have seen. Holding hands, kissing, hugging, snuggling. It always makes me wonder" "What would I be doing with my love of life, if I even have one?" Then came my dream that one night...and my poem was sit-in in my head...

Passion's Shadow

The sky darkens,
as the moon winks
down,
flirting with our loving embrace...
encasing us in a passion's shadow,
with promises of
an ethereal existence
for us...
together...
as one...
