About the Poem

This poem is about love, life, beauty, and my observations.

Thief

Everything was great,
that was the start -
Like a thief in the night
she stole my heart.

Her mind is strong,
her words are sweet;
She's in the dictionary -
she's under Beauty.

My heart was hers,
no longer mine,
that's how it is
for the rest of time.

Abrupt the ending,
unjust for me:
Like a thief in the night,
leaving only the pain

I love the rain,
the crying it hides,
when your emotions
can't be put aside.

The rain will stop,
the crying will too -
don't let bad things
happen to you.

Thieves are everywhere. They take many forms. But they always prefer darkness to Light. Walk in the Light to avoid the bad things, Lance.
