You've written your thoughts for me,
but you will soon do the same for her,
then all the things that brought us here,
will soon be left behind.

You've said that you do not cause more pain for me,
but it is her painless light that makes you want her,
then all the things that make us cheer,
will soon be left behind.

You've said that you would fight for me,
but my battle is with her,
then all the things that made us tear,
will soon be left behind.

You've been a sanctuary for me,
but you are closed down for her,
then all the things that make us sheer,
will soon be left behind.

You've laughed when I asked you to run away with me,
but I wonder if you dream of running away with her,
then all the things that made us leer,
will soon be left behind.

You've seen something that I didn't know in me,
but you've seen something I didn't know in her,
then all the things that made us clear,
will soon be left behind.

You've said that you walk with me,
but you walk to her,
then all the things that brought us here,
will soon be left behind.

I'll be left behind.
