Shattered - Farewell |
| by Jennifer L. |
You let me down when I needed you most,
Your razor tongue slashed my soul.
You chose to attack when my defenses were down,
God, how could you be so cold?
You'll never know the pain you caused
Or the grief and loss I feel.
I've wondered over the days and weeks if my broken heart will heal.
Our memories are tempered with bitterness,
But now I'll close the door.
I'll mourn his death a thousand times
But I do not mourn yours.
