About the Poem

This poem is about how I have always felt about a guy I know but don't know how to tell him. All I can do is dream about how it could maybe be one day.

To Know

I ache for your touch.
I long for your tender embrace,
I want to feel that one kiss,
To feel you holding me,
Feeling your lips against mine,
To know your heart beats in time with mine.
I want to know if you care,
If you love,
If you dream,
If you long for a kiss as well as a touch,
I want to know if your heart longs for mine.

I really enjoyed this poem. It explained my thoughts and emotions for my best friend Michael. He means the world to me and I hope that when he reads it he will understand that my feelings for him from friendship have change to something more. I pray that he feels the same that I do. I just got out of a relationship that absolutly tore me apart but Michael has been here everyday cheering me up. Thank you for posting your lovely poem

I meet now husband when I was 9 years old and I always looked at him like a brother. Then when I started to get older I thought that it was a crush. He never knew that I felt this away. He got married and I cried to the fact that I would never get to have him and years later I ran into him and to find out that he had got a divc. from his exwife and we began to see each other. I really liked this poem because it was what I had dreamed of for years and then it came true. Almost 4 yesrs of dating he asked me to marry him at the same place that we had ran into each other in 95.
