About the Poem

Perhaps for some, they never find; perhaps for some, they do find, and enjoy the company through life of their soul mate; others experience a beautiful, singular, bittersweet, appointed, missed connection that can never be revisited

Butterfly Trails

Carried by gentle winds

Peeking behind
One last time

Butterfly trails

Passion abandoned

Longing

Now

Etched
On the breeze

Swirls
Of

Butterfly trails

Complimenting shades
Caress the memory

Fleeting expectation
Defined by mist

Dew drops
Capture
Opal
Reflections

Of

Butterfly
Trails

Never
Forever

Again

Butterfly

Trails
