This poem I wrote for my husband. We have been married 34 years. He is my soulmate and I feel safe and secure when I am with him. We have been through many storms, but they never last when I am with him. Love Poems

Storms Never Last

The thunder rumbles thru the night
sounds like the beating of my heart
I don't like being here without you
I feel so alone when we're apart

Lightning flashes and lights the room
memories flashing through my mind
of warmth and love I feel for you
and love we'll never leave behind

The gentle rain is tapping on my window
as I am safe and nestled in your embrace
for storms never last when you're near
this special bond you can't replace

I liked it. you compared your love to an storm. it shows how much you love that person and doesnt like to be alone. you want to be with your love at all times. and never give up cuz its strong.

This was a beautiful poem in which i relate to greatly at this present time, when the storm sometimes clouds the view, sometimes it get`s hard to see, Thankyou for showing the way.
