About the Poem

This poems about two lovers - how she helped make him who he truly is. It took heartache for him to discover it. now he regrets hiding his feelings.

My Picasso

You have shaped and molded me
Into the man I am today

I never realized how much you've done
How you've touched my life in a special way

Sometimes it takes pain to show
How I feel in my heart

Our own selfishness took it's toll
But it can never tear us apart

I know now how much you mean to me
Things will be better than before

I truly believe in you
Now I feel you love me even more

When you say those words I believe it all
Opening my heart was the best thing I've done

Now you truly know me
And I know you are the only one
