Summer Night's Dream |
| by Mark Acciard |
Once under a moonlight glow...
I dreamt of a maiden I would come to know...
Beauty, Intelligence, an wit to match...
A treasured prize for a man to catch...
and then she deigned to say to me...
A true gentleman never had she...
Never enjoyed the massage, cuddle, and caress...
Never had he suave, charm, and finesse...
Never a man entranced by her mind...
Needing to shelter and protect his find...
Never a man to lotion that body magnificent...
Never a man whose emotionally beneficent...
At that point, I knew what was required...
To treat her with respect, affection, and show the desire...
To work hard to ensure that I stand out from the crowd...
Earning the trust, devotion, and desire, would make proud...
The man who possessed this icon of menıs desire...
This woman to whom menıs devotion should never tire...
This woman whose beauty leaves men agape in her wake...
A woman whose mind discards the sycophants as fakes...
Possessor of intoxicating beauty and charm...
Deserving of a knight to protect her from harm...
A woman of mystery, always masking her thoughts...
Her true feelings of men's actions and gifts, men wait for naught...
Men anxiously gaze into your eyes, waiting for reactions...
What are your thoughts, feelings, should we continue our actions?
So how can I make you understand, and explain to you?
My desires and feelings, and what I know to be true...
My dilemma is to show you whatıs really inside...
those thoughts and desires, which the sight of you make difficult to hide.
