About the Poem

This is dedicated to my now four month old daughter, Sophia Colleen. Motherhood is so wonderful that I feel I have to share pieces of it with everyone. God bless you Sophia, you truly are a blessing from above!!

The World's At Your Feet

We welcome you baby
With open arms reaching
Our hearts filled with love
Our minds filled with teaching

Your blue eyes are staring
Looking up, filled with wonder
We look down at you
Your beauty we ponder

Such a perfect young child
What a gift, what a blessing
Our prayers have been answered
Our fears now are resting

Your presence on earth
Will be sheltered in love
Every step that you take
God will guide from above

I hope all through life
Your expectations are met
Looking forward, how I wish
That You'll have no regrets

Sophia Colleen
The world's at your feet
I pray now to God
You'll live life complete
