As so many others think, this is a very soothing and beautiful poem. My sister lost her life about a month ago by one mans selfish and violent act. If she could tell us anything it would be pretty close to what is said in your poem. It has touched and comforted my heart and I Thank You for sharing it with the rest of us.

i LOST MY MOM A YEAR AGO COME JULY, I HAD A REALLY TOUGH TIME EXCEPTING HER BEING GONE. FOR SHE WAS NOT ILL EXCEPT FOR A BAD COLD. THAT TURNED DEADLY WITHIN 5 DAYS WE LOST HER. SHE WAS THE CENTRE OF MY WORLD AND I FELT LIKE I TOOK THAT FOR GRANTED THAT SHE WOULD ALWAYS BE THERE WITH ME. WHILE I WENT THROUGH A MAJOR DEPRESSION AND LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE OVER THIS YEAR. THE ONE THING THAT KEPT ME GOING WAS FINDING MEANINGFUL POEMS LIKE THIS ONE.

A brief moment of darkness was all that I knew, before Heaven's Gate came into my view. Loved ones and friends I had missed for many years, welcomed me with open arms and many happy tears. All the hurt, fear and pain that I have ever known, is gone from my life, I am finally home. I gazed upon the Lord's sweet smiling face, and for the first time in my life I knew and felt His grace. I know that you miss me, but please dry your eyes. I will always be watching and loving you from my home in the sky. A cool breeze on your face, a touch of light rain, I will send as a reminder that we will be reunited again. Life on earth is but one brief moment in time, I am finally home, Eternity is mine. |

I recently lost my mother in Feb. of this year. I've been having a hard time with her leaving this earth, but after reading this poem my heart is still hurting but this poem is so beautiful. This poet is very excellent on how she wrote this poem. I am proud to have read such a heartful poem and it means alot to me to know that someone else knows how I feel. Thank you for allowing me to read a poem as this.

i liked this pome because me and my sister chose it out for my grandmothers funeral . there in caddilac, the reason why we chose this particular one because it's exsacly how we feel and how she would have said to us we know our grandmother very well so i chose this one because thats what she would have said it touched me in many diffrent ways and lots of other pomes did too but this one drew me to it thats why we chose it it's a beautiful pome and hopefuly more will come . thanks sincerly Marula & Tanya Horton

I am burying my 18 year old brother in law this weekend. He was drinking and ran a red light. He hit a car full of girls and wrapped his car around a pole. Only one girl survived. Four died. This poem brought peace to my heart after hurting so much for my sister who has to raise their baby by herself. My sister is only 19 and shouldn't have to pick out what is he is going to be buried in. He will never see his only son turn one and will miss his first Father's Day. We know he made a mistake and killed other innocents, but this driver had a family too. And his family loves and misses him.
