This poem really touched me because of the fact that I just got out of an abusive relationship and it took me a year and a half to get out of it because of the fact that I thought him hitting me was my fault AND IT WASN"T! It helps to know that I'm not the only one who had to go through a situation like this and luckily I made it out alive.

I truly understand how it is to be that woman you describe in this poem also. I just finally got the courage to leave my abusive relationship, and I was feeling like I am the only one out there who ever was abused in a relationship until I read this poem. Thank you.

This poem touched me! I started crying when i read it! Its truly wonderful that this person ( that worte the poem) can uncover ever little inch of pain and hurt wabout a person gettin abused , I beleive that this poem should be said out load to the world and maybe it will give a little hope for thoes who have been there and are there! I just wanted to say that i really loved your poem. It means so much to me. I haven't been abused but i had a friend who was, i told her so many times to go, but she wouldn't she said she didn't have the strength. Now i can see that walking away can be one of the hardest things to do.
