I think that I can relate to her feelings of depression because I'm 16, and I'm not allowed to go anywhere unless I'm with family and I can't voice my opinions hardly on anything even if it's about me. I get really upset,bored, and stressed out because I 'm young and trapped like I'm in prison instead of having the freedom to enjoy life like I should have the liberty to do. So I can relate to the situation greatly.

This poem meant alot to me when i read it. I'm 14 years old and have been suffering from depression for several years. I was finally diagnosed about a year and a half ago. I never let it on to my friends or people from school, no one still has any idea of how much i hurt. I loved this poem!

I love the poem i also have been diagnosed with deppresion so i can relate when I was about nine i stopped eating and my mom took me to the doctor and after a long time they finally told me i had deppresion and that i needed to take Paxil to make me feel better. I do feel better now but some times i still get into moods where i am just so completely deppresed so that is why I love that poem!

Good expression. I once felt quite depressed and continued to pray. Finally one night I was so tired of the depression I wondered if there was a God and if my prayers were heard. The next day and ever since (4years) my depression has been gone and I have come to see the truth to God. May not happen overnight for all, but keep the faith.

I loved the poem, i feel the same way. i write poems too, but sometimes i cant find the words cause my head is so clouded by so many hard feelings at once and i feel disconnected for a while, but then i get back on track and open up. This was a great poem in my opinion. I am 15 years old and this is the same way that I tend to feel during most days. The only days I dont feel like that are the ones where I am asleep most of the day. This poem reminds me that I am not the only one who feels this way and that I should think about others too and their feelings. GREAT WORK!

This is a great poem for people with depression. I haven't been officially diagnosed with it because my family and friends wouldn't understand how I feel. They almost have to have to just to be able to understand. This poem explains a lot of the thoughts and feelings I have on a daily basis.

this poem is a great poem for a person that takes life for granted. i mean you never know when your going to come along someone that you dont even know that dies because of a suicidal death or maybe its your own family member or someone else that you care about a lot. I know the feelings this poem is expressin because thats how i have been for 9 1/2 years ever since ma dad left me and decided not to even interfere with ma life. the same year ma dad left all 4 of ma grandparents died and that just made the situation worse because if u have ever had a family member that has died on the same day that another hardship happened then you would know its not easy. I was really touched by your poem. The day I met my husband he was planning to commit suicide. I don't know how but I made him think twice about what he was planning to do. Now we have a happy life together and we have a son on the way. I've read other poems that talk about suicide but none have touched me as much as yours.
