This poem really thouched my, because when I was about 5 years old I lost my best friend, who was also my cousin. She was only 6 months younger than me so we were very close. I am now 15, and it has been 10 years since the death of my friend Megan. Now it seems like many of the memories that I have of her are starting to fade away as my life goes on without her.

Kerry, I really like your poem because I can pretty much relate to it. I left the Philippines about a year and a half ago. It was one of the hardest things that I had to do because I really didn't want to be away from my one and only bestfriend. Your poem delighted me and gave me hope, that one day my bestfriend and I would see each other again. We may be thousands of miles away from each other, but our friendship keeps on getting stronger than ever. A very brief but meaningful poem! I appreciate it a lot!
