About the Poem

Corrupted Universe speaks of the different faces of evil that surround our world. And in the midst of all these forms of evil, the blood of our Savior is the most powerful symbol that defeats all these.

Corrupted Universe

Dark cumulus clouds transforming -
In corners of my mind they dig
Vision of a blinding lightning
Last leaf falls from a burning twig

Where flock of black birds are chasing -
The cold breeze of the eastern winds
Your face is the star reflecting -
On these crystal waters that rinse -

Rinse, cleanse my back for I’ve carried -
Through sands of time, a world of sins
Feet beneath the earth were buried
I should have followed Your footprints

Why are my guilty hands chilling -
As wolves cry to the crescent moon?
The far horizon’s fast-changing
Another comet falls by dawn

Living in this corrupted universe,
Evil appears in varied forms - what a curse !
My soul seeks for mercy, life has gone worse
The blood of Your salvation I do thirst.
