About the Poem

This poem is about realizing you are asleep and taking over your own dream world - only to be awakened by the clock.

Lucidity

I was asleep upon my bed.
I heard a noise, I raised my head.
It was so dark I could not see
Where it came from or what it might be.
Just that moment I touched my hand,
Then I began to understand;
It was not there to cause me harm.
At that moment I heard my alarm.
Things are not always as they might seem.
I awoke to find it was a dream.
